Evolution Furniture all-white hospitality lounge created for the ADNOC Investor Forum in Abu Dhabi.

For the ENACT Changemakers Majlis and Gala Dinner, Evolution Furniture was appointed to create a series of hospitality environments that reflected the event's sustainability-led vision while providing comfortable, functional spaces for discussion, networking and formal dining. Hosted at the ADNOC Business Center in Abu Dhabi, the project combined contemporary furniture with natural materials and planting to establish a warm, welcoming atmosphere that remained consistent across every guest space.

The installation incorporated a coordinated selection of Evolution Furniture collections, including Blanca, Cuthbert, Franklin, Brooke, Lucas and Dune, together with custom banquet furniture for the gala dinner. Rather than treating each area as an independent installation, the furniture was planned as a connected hospitality experience, allowing guests to move naturally between the Majlis, lounge settings and dining environment while maintaining a unified visual identity.

The Challenge

Although the Majlis and gala dinner formed part of the same event, they demanded two distinct hospitality experiences.

The Majlis required relaxed seating arrangements that encouraged conversation and informal engagement, while the gala dinner needed a more structured dining environment without feeling disconnected from the surrounding hospitality spaces. Achieving this balance depended upon selecting furniture that could support different guest interactions while maintaining a consistent material palette and visual language throughout the venue.

The sustainability theme introduced an additional design consideration. Rather than relying on bold decorative elements, the furniture itself needed to establish a calm, natural aesthetic through contemporary forms, neutral finishes and carefully integrated styling.

Space Planning & Guest Experience

The venue was organised as a sequence of hospitality settings, each supporting a different stage of the guest journey while remaining visually connected through a consistent furniture palette.

The Majlis formed the primary social environment, where lounge furniture was arranged into intimate seating groups that encouraged conversation without creating barriers between guests. Coffee tables and occasional furniture were positioned within comfortable reach of each seating cluster, allowing the spaces to function equally well for informal meetings and relaxed hospitality.

Clear circulation routes connected the lounge environments with the gala dinner, enabling guests to move naturally between spaces without disrupting those already seated. Rather than maximising furniture density, the layouts prioritised comfort, accessibility and openness, allowing the architecture, furniture and planting to work together in defining each hospitality zone.

Project Outcome

The completed installation delivered a unified hospitality environment that successfully accommodated both the relaxed atmosphere of the Majlis and the more formal setting of the gala dinner.

By combining coordinated furniture collections with thoughtful layouts and restrained styling, Evolution Furniture created spaces that encouraged conversation, supported guest comfort and reflected the event's sustainability-led design vision. The project demonstrates how carefully planned furniture schemes can connect multiple hospitality experiences within a single venue while maintaining consistency in both appearance and functionality.
